Automating Data Protection Across the IT Ops Environment 

Kirkland, WA – Bocada LLC, an award-winning backup reporting and monitoring automation solution, has released enhanced ServiceNow CMDB and ticketing featuresOrganizations using ServiceNow will now enjoy improved ways to automate backup monitoring and failure remediation.   

The latest CMDB integration enhancements improve data protection by giving admins better ability to pinpoint critical assets not being backed up. With more robust matching options, including short name, long name, and IP address, Bocada seamlessly identifies assets in your CMDB that are receiving active backups, thereby identifying those that aren’t. Further additions, including manual asset mapping and an asset ignore feature, minimize the likelihood of falsely identifying unprotected assets and filter out noise.     

With Bocada’s improved ticketing integration, administrators can program Bocada to automatically populate any ticket field based on those present in their ServiceNow instance, including backup error messages, assignment groups, and affected assets. Backup admins using Bocada will now be able to automatically route service tickets to the correct team members and ensure that their teams have the information needed to quickly address underlying failure causes.
