Bocada Enterprise Release Notes 26.2.07

The following features and enhancements were made available with the release of Bocada 26.2.07. This version is a Feature Release and will be supported in accordance with the Support Terms.

New Features

MCP Server for Bocada REST API
The Bocada MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is now automatically installed as part of Bocada Enterprise, making it available out of the box for AI-driven queries and workflows regarding Bocada backup, storage, and reporting data. A new configuration UI has been added under Administration
to generate and manage the MCP Server API Key, allowing administrators to enable and manage AIassistant access without any additional installation steps.

Maintenance Pack Delivery Process
Bocada Enterprise now delivers targeted fixes between Feature Releases through a new Maintenance Pack process. Maintenance Packs are cumulative, non-disruptive updates that apply on top of existing Long-Term Supported (LTS) Releases. This allows customers to receive stability and reliability improvements without manually updating individual files or waiting for the next release. Each Maintenance Pack is delivered with its own release notes so that customers can review the specific fixes included.

Enhancements

Connectors

  • AWS Backup: Added collection of the Backup Type data point, aligned with proprietary client type values, so that AWS backup activity can be filtered and grouped in Job Trends and other reports (for example, isolating AWS RDS backups).
Veeam Backup & Replication: Job schedule information is now collected and displayed in Job Activity and other reports. Supported across PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and PowerShell collection methods.
Dell PowerScale (Isilon): Additional reliability improvements to SSH-based collection on large clusters, including reduced parallel du command execution, use of cluster metrics in place of du on the /ifs root, and improved OneFS 9.10+ CSV parsing.

Reports & Alerting

  • Reporting Performance: Improved data query performance for faster report generation and reduced load on the Bocada database.
  • Data Collection Alerting: Added support for a customizable email template for Data Collection Alerting notifications. Remote Data Collector (RDC)
  • Maintenance Pack Delivery: The RDC now receives and applies Maintenance Pack updates as part of the delivery process. Further, it reports on its updated build and version after the Maintenance Pack push for easy verification.

Administration & Installer

  • Installer: Updated HTTPS configuration logic in the installer for more consistent behavior across environments.
  • Disaster Recovery: Disaster Recovery (DR) configuration has been moved from the AI & Security module to the Audit module for better logical grouping.
