Bocada Releases Data Protector 10.00 Plugin

Ensuring Full Data Backup Environment Visibility

Kirkland, WA – Bocada LLC, an award-winning backup reporting and monitoring solution has announced the availability of the Data Protector 10.00 Plugin, ensuring Data Protector customers enjoy complete backup environment protection and reporting visibility.

The updated plugin accommodates a recent security upgrade completed in the Data Protector product offered by Micro Focus. In DP 9.x or earlier, communication between the Installation Server and Cell Manager was at risk for MITM attacks and command interceptions due to limited trust verification protocols. The new security released in Data Protector 10.00 allows for “secure peering” between the two. Bocada customers upgrading to Data Protector 10.00 will also have access to Bocada’s enhanced reporting and data protection auditing function for full data backup visibility.

According to Matt Hall, Bocada CEO, the Data Protector 10.00 plugin ensures customers can continue to oversee their complex data backup environments. “Our enterprise customers often leverage multiple data protection products to back up their data. Updating our plugins to support the latest release ensures our customers have the control and tools they need to validate their entire backup environment.”
