Veritas NetBackup PureDisk™ offers storage and bandwidth-optimized data protection for remote offices, virtual environments and data centers. PureDisk uses data deduplication technology to reduce the size of backups before moving any data. A scalable and open storage architecture allows customers to deploy PureDisk into any data protection environment.
Bocada Enterprise 5 PureDisk Module delivers new insight into PureDisk activity. This optional module for Bocada Enterprise software quickly delivers the information you need to prioritize troubleshooting efforts and drive improvement throughout the PureDisk environment. The PureDisk module collects and displays information related to the success / failure of PureDisk backup jobs, and on the volume of data backed up by PureDisk. Additionally, users can see trends over time, compare and sort, and zero in on the most critical information that impacts data protection and operational efficiency.

An example of a core report is the Success and Failure report. It highlights failed backup and systemic backup problems in easily scanned matrices of backup servers, clients, and targets, allowing users to identify problems and take corrective actions.
Other core reports include:
- Capacity Planning reports. These measure the volume and impact of backup activity. Use these to allocate existing backup resources, and to plan for future requirements. Backup Trends reports can show trends by month or week, sorted by many criteria, including department or application, and a dozen more.
- SLA Compliance Summary reports provide a high-level overview of SLA compliance by department. This report includes essential details about noncompliant jobs, including percentage of compliance and backup errors.
- Load reports show the time at which to perform backups by measuring when backup activity is occurring, and show times, duration, and intensity.
- Backup Clients reports list backup clients and their properties, according to user-specified parameters
- Billing Backup reports determine usage and implied cost
of backup services. They can be used for internal auditing,
and verifying compliance with best practices
