BOCADA ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH QUEST SOFTWARE

Providing Enhanced Recovery Management for Customers

Bellevue, WAOctober 14, 2008 – Today, Bocada, Inc., the pioneer and leading provider of data protection reporting and analysis solutions, announced they will be working in partnership with Quest Software to provide customers of Quest® Recovery Manager for Exchange greater visibility into the location of backup data in order to speed recovery and
e-discovery times. Bocada Enterprise reports, which provide information on backup volume location, will be packaged by mailbox to align with the Recovery Manager implementation model.

Quest Recovery Manager for Exchange is designed to rapidly and efficiently discover and recover business-critical Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino data to aid with electronic investigations and enable granular data recovery. With its ability to search backed-up attachment content, and to recover public folders, Recovery Manager is the only product on the market that provides search and recovery of all Exchange and Domino backup data. However, users are relied on to determine not only what data needs to be recovered but where to recover from. Often the user lacks the location information, requiring Recovery Manager to search large stores of data for the appropriate content, slowing the overall process.

By utilizing the Success and Failure and Volume Finder reports in Bocada Enterprise, users can quickly identify which Exchange server was backed up to what volume and determine the location of the required data. In addition, the Bocada Success and Failure reports will provide the user with information regarding which recovery point is valid, ensuring the data in question is truly recoverable. These easy to read reports allow users to quickly determine where Recovery Manager should be searching for specific information, resulting in much faster recovery and e-discovery times.

Bocada Enterprise is an agentless, Windows based application which deploys rapidly and begins collecting information regarding heterogeneous data protection activities immediately. Historical trending allows users to go back over long periods of time to track volumes and backup successes. These reports are often used for e-discovery and compliance purposes.
