Plug-in Allows IT Managers To Improve Data Protection For Remote Office Environment

Bellevue, WA, July 30, 2007 - Bocada, Inc., the leading provider of data protection management software, today announced support for Veritas NetBackup PureDisk™ with its Bocada Enterprise 5 data protection management software plug-in. The Bocada Enterprise NetBackup PureDisk plug-in quickly delivers the information data protection managers need to prioritize troubleshooting efforts and drive improvement across their enterprise data protection networks including data centers and remote offices.

Bocada Enterprise 5 gathers, analyzes and consolidates information from cross-platform, heterogeneous data protection environments into a single point of reference. This gives data protection managers visibility and insight into the entire disk and tape backup process. Many customers are implementing NetBackup PureDisk data deduplication technology to enhance data protection in remote offices and data centers, and require integrated reporting across the enterprise environment. This new plug-in provides quick, accurate reporting related to the success/failure of backup jobs, the volume of data backed up, as well as other critical data protection metrics for protecting data both within and outside of the data center.
