Bocada Enterprise 4 links storage assets, processes and recovery results to specific business objectives, automating the creation and distribution of critical information to IT and compliance management and staff. Initially deployed into production in fall of 2001, the Bocada Enterprise suite has continued to expand based on customer and partner input through seven successive product releases. Bocada Enterprise 4 includes many new features including:

• Compliance with Internal and External Mandates —
  Bocada Enterprise 4 makes it possible to meet and verify service levels across the scaled, distributed enterprise. A new Client Management feature ties service levels directly to specific assets, providing administrators with an instant global view into whether operations are meeting service-level and compliance requirements for their customers. A powerful, flexible search capability allows administrators to quickly locate unprotected or non-compliant assets and take appropriate action.
• Asset Search and Relationship Mapping —
  Bocada Enterprise 4 includes the ability to map assets to logical business groupings across large enterprises, regardless of location. This enables administrators to track the outcomes of data-protection services against specific business priorities, hierarchies, and service levels. Users can also view the recoverability of specific applications and backup services provided to each business unit. Bocada Enterprise 4 can also automatically detect new assets and map them to the system using predefined rules.
• Global Summary Web Reports —
  Featuring an enhanced look and feel, the Bocada Web Report Viewer and the Bocada Web Report Publisher allow administrators to create and automatically distribute customized views of relevant information to the right internal customers at the right time. Reports can be distributed across the global enterprise via the web or email, and report content can be customized to meet the needs of IT, business units, auditors and executives.
• Support for Oracle® Recovery Manager —
  Bocada Enterprise 4 makes critical application recoverability easier and less costly to manage by gathering key performance information from Oracle Recovery Manager, providing the insight necessary for database and data protection professionals to effectively and cost-efficiently manage backup and restore for Oracle-based applications in multi-tiered, disk-to-disk, disk-to-disk to tape and backup disk-to-archive data protection infrastructures.
