Bocada Launches Innovative Backup Assessment Program
New service gives companies superior insight into the reliability and performance of their data protection operations
Bellevue, WA - April 21, 2003 - For the first time, businesses will be able to take advantage of a service that combines the expertise of Bocada Inc., its partners and exclusive use of BackupReport® Storage Intelligence software to establish a quantitative benchmark of their enterprise data protection systems. Bocada's new "CIP Program" (Clarity, Insight, Power), available beginning April 30, 2003 exclusively through Bocada and its CIP Partners, moves beyond the traditional sample-based approach of backup assessments by aggregating, analyzing and reporting on key data about the recoverability, and overall performance of enterprise-wide backup and recovery operations.
By leveraging the unique, agentless, multi-vendor architecture of BackupReport®, the CIP Program will identify, quantify and answer key questions for customers about backup reliability and cost across multiple backup systems, storage architectures and operating systems without the deployment of invasive software agents. Bocada also announced that, as part of the pilot phase leading up to its launch of the CIP Program, their CIP Partner, Storage Area Networks, Inc. (SANZ), successfully completed a major backup assessment on behalf of one of the world's largest financial institutions.
