Better Manage NetBackup Copies and Storage Lifecycle Policies
At Bocada we are constantly striving to introduce features and functionality to our Prism product that will help the modern day admin stay ahead of the data protection curve. As part of the enhancements made to the Prism Policy module, end users of Symantec NetBackup duplication and copying policies now have the ability to view a comprehensive list of job data at the server, policy, client and schedule levels all from a single view.
NetBackup has multiple options to create duplicate copies to different storage and media targets including Vault Option, Multiple Copies in the schedule, Staging Area in the storage unit, and more recently Storage Lifecycle Policies. Bocada Prism SLP reports provide a centralized view of all of these policies, including the ability to identify storage lifecycle initiated backup jobs and their destination media to quickly verify that backup copies were successfully made whether it went to tape or to disk.
Bocada Prism NetBackup SLP Reports enable users to:
- Easily see server to policy views and a roll-up of the success and failures of all lifecycle policies
- Determine where data is residing and how much is being backup up in each stage
- Quickly determine if all primary, secondary and tertiary copies are succeeding
- Expose details of where with the policy's lifecycle there may be failures
